Blush At First Sight Kitchen

Carmichael, CA

A previously dark and odd shaped kitchen was reinvented with a lighter material palette and sleek look. At first glance, this modern minimalist kitchen may look simple, but the dramatic full height Dekton Khalo backsplash and ledge on the back wall grabs your attention. As your eyes dance around the space, you begin to fully appreciate the many intricate details. The handless design, internally lit Galley workstation, fluted paneling, the back-bevel of cabinetry at the island knee space, and accents of Dekton Rem that complement the waterfall island, are all elements that elevate the space. Dekton Rem was used to create stone base fillers on the back wall and internal waterfall edge at the range, as well as the curved foot ledge for the seating area on the backside of the island. The client’s desire for their kitchen was to embody a feeling of subtle sophistication with a romantic flare. This was achieved with the touches of blush-colored matte glass on the top-drawer fronts and hood structure, which provide a softened and luxurious feel to the kitchen. Mixed metals accent the space with a combination of brushed brass and satin black on the faucetry and outlets on the backsplash ledge. The brushed brass decorative light fixtures have an illuminated rope adding texture and organic elegance. The beauty doesn’t stop on the exterior of the kitchen. The cabinets are complete with finished interiors and integrated lighting incorporated throughout for optimal function and flexibility of uses for softer mood lighting.
