Christopher Kennedy Show House - Central Valley

Over here at NAR Design Group, we’re thrilled to announce that Nar Bustamante will be a featured designer in the Christopher Kennedy Show House in the California Central Valley. Over the past few months, we’ve been planning, sketching, and building this exciting project, and we’re so grateful to be able to share our work with you. Check out some photos of the project below, and we look forward to seeing you there!

Our design intention behind this cozy office space adjacent to the family room is to celebrate the mid-century architecture of the home and the clients love of bold dramatic color! Celebrating the connection with the Natasha Minasian’s family room design, we continued her wallpaper selection along the full length of the window wall. The deep charcoal and gold tones of the wallpaper inspired a warm palette of matte black and brass fittings for the main cabinetry. A deep emerald green tone selected for the walls, ceiling, and custom aluminum frames bring a vibrancy to the space. Walnut vertical grain millwork panels run through the space, wrapping the walls to create a natural textural backdrop for significant art pieces.

Situated in the heart of California’s Central Valley, the fastest growing region in California, Turlock with its 70,000 residents offers a small town feel surrounded by larger neighboring cities. From 1997 to 2007, a bi-annual show house was held in the region. The goal of the newly-created Christopher Kennedy Show House is to “bring back” this once-popular event.

The Christopher Kennedy Show House renovates a classic American property for a very real family, bringing together the best of modern technology and great design talents – all to benefit a deserving local charity. Bringing together designers from both the local region and state-wide, including well-known Tastemakers from Orange County, LA, Palm Springs, and San Francisco, this event is not to be missed!

Proceeds from the Central Valley Show House will benefit Dancing with the Turlock Stairs – whose three recipient charities are Covenant Care at Home (Hospice), Jessica’s House (Grief Support), and the Turlock Salvation Army. The money raised will be staying within the community.

The project is brought to life by world-class brands including Gaggenau, Corian, Circa Lighting, Brizo plumbing, and more than a dozen other local and national design resources.

Come see us on the weekends of October 5th - October 19th in Turlock, CA. Tickets available here. If you like the designs, leave a comment below! We’d love your feedback.
